THERE WAS A COUNTRY

There was a Country

Men from the rising sun

Conferred with those on its setting

To aid them sequester the ties of the uphill men

Nay born out of polygamous motives graced request

Guns are gone but pens still fire in Battle fields filled with ink

A fourth wise man appears from the east bearing a royal laced gift

A tribal time bomb ticking nothing like gifts of gold, frankincense or myrrh

If only we’ll act on the prophetic inaudible, we may never say there was a country
